Sunday 20th May – An afternoon walk with the rural poet John Clare. A unique walk and talk in the company of a descendent of John Clare.
Margaret Hill organised this walk in the countryside around Sheinton, during which selected poems written by John Clare were read in appropriate settings.
The walk was enhanced by the presence of a member who is a descendent of the poet and who read the first poem. This was followed by delicious tea in Sheinton Church. The weather was kind and the 17 people who attended agreed that this was a most enjoyable and unusual event.
